Screenwriting Workshop

With more than 15 years of film production and script writing experiences,  J. Wang has created her unique narrative style and artistic expression. Her writing collaborations with renowned writers Lu Wei (Farewell My Concubine, 1993) and Allen Godard (Enemy at the Gate, 2001) have fostered Wang’s ability to handle complex historical and multicultural subjects to promote authentic ethnic cultures in refresh international perspectives to appeal baorder audiences. In J. Wang’s screenwriting workshops, she will teach writing techniques both in English and Chinese Mandarin, offer one-to-one private lessons to pass on her experience on art film creation (especially in co-productions) and coach and guide the screenwriting process of writing soul searchers. 

Tango Heart Workshop

During the writing and rehearsal of the film The Tree Knows, J. Wang had the opportunity to learn Tango from many legendary Argentine Tango artists,  and becoming an excellent Tango dancer herself. In order to promote Tango globally, Wang will collaborate with Argentine Tango artists to present Tango Heart Workshops in Toronto.These workshops will include lectures, group classes and private lessons to help dancers improve their Tango dance skills and spread a Tango spirit of unison. Wang also offers her own one-no-one private lessons, June’s Heart, that teach Tango techniques and musical expressions, and share her Tango experiences. 

A Tango Documentary Series

At first, J. Wang danced Tango to write a screenplay. Later, she made films for the love of Tango. Now Tango has become a way of her life. Carrying on the spirit of A Tango with Chino Perico, Wang will launch A Tango series, which will continually record what she sees, hears and feels in the Tango world in the form of interview documentaries,  to support and promote this precious art that is Tango. 

Seasons Interview Web Series

 "Seasons" is a Web Interview Series, in which J. Wang will have conversations with interesting people to share their reshaping and rebirth life experiences.  "Seasons — Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter", four people a year.
